Hi friends! As you may or may not know, Beau and I (and lots of our med school friends!) just reunited back in Charlottesville, Virginia for our dear friends' wedding. It was such a treat to see old friends, walk the downtown mall, eat at Bodos and FINALLY GET MY GRUBBY HANDS ON WHITE QUESO DIP. Why Portland does not have white queso dip I will never understand.
But I digress.
I also got to lay eyes on the Blue Ridge Mountains and decided that Shenandoah National Park ought to be next up in this little National Parks Series we've got goin' on. So here it is! :)
I have so many fond memories of driving Skyline Drive with a carload of friends, windows down, music blaring, on our way to a beautiful hike or camping trip in the mountains. If you're considering taking a trip to Charlottesville or the surrounding area, DO IT. The mountains really do look blue (so lovely), and a hike during #peakfallcolors (that one's for you, Derrick, if you're reading this!) is not to be missed. Plus, you can follow it up with a glass of wine (or three) at one of the many local vineyards.
Charlottesville and Shenandoah National Park, I miss you and I love you and I thank you for four beautiful years.
To receive 15% off the Shenandoah National Park print, use the code PEAKFALLCOLORS, available until Sunday evening. Enjoy, and have a wonderful week!
Love & Respect,
