introducing…
for many artists, making the art is the easy part.
The selling part is what has the potential to hold us back from turning our talents and passions into a career. Over the past 12 years, I’ve slowly grown my side-gig into a thriving, multi-six-figure art business. And I’m passionate about teaching other artists how to do the same.
The Art Business Roadmap is a comprehensive course where I teach you, step-by-step and in order, all my secrets for taking your art from a hobby to a full-fledged business.
let’s bust that “starving artist” myth together. :)
if any of this feels familiar…
✺ You don’t know how to start turning your art into income.
✺ You feel overwhelmed by all the different paths you could take (originals, prints, commissions, markets, wholesale, social media, websites, etc.).
✺ You're unsure how to price your work, capture quality images, and build your website.
✺ You love creating but freeze when it comes to selling.
✺ You have no idea how to spread the word about your work and attract new customers.
✺ You’re tired of guessing and Googling your way through it.
imagine this instead:
✺ You know exactly what to focus on, and in what order.
✺ You understand how to set up, structure, and organize your business.
✺ You know your ideal customer and where (and how) to reach them.
✺ You’ve figured out the product mix that works for you, and you know how to price with confidence.
✺ You’ve learned about how to photograph and create mockups of your work to display on your well-designed website.
✺ You know how to connect with your customers in a way that’s genuine and not sales-y.

I’m Lindsay Gilmore, and I’ve been making and sharing art professionally since 2014. Art was always my “thing” growing up, but I was too scared to study it in college. I fully bought into the “starving artist” myth and felt I had to choose something more practical. I double-majored in Marketing and Advertising instead, which, as it turns out, ended up being pretty darn helpful after-all.
After multiple marketing internships and four years working at a design agency (as an account manager, production designer, and graphic designer), I decided to start making art on the side. I got my start painting people’s pets and babies in watercolor and ink. I worked so hard for so many years to get traction, but nothing ever took off.
After my daughter was born in 2017, I was extremely burnt out and decided to pivot to the style I’m doing today: landscape paintings on canvas. Towards the end of 2020 I started offering art prints, and that’s when everything started to click. Art soon became my full-time gig, and by 2021, my business hit the 6-figure mark for the first time. And I’m grateful to say that the business has only grown year-after-year.
I’ve learned a lot (and have made a ton of mistakes) over the past 12 years of business, and I’m excited to share it all with you. This is the course I wish I’d had when I was just starting out, and I’m confident that it will help you along your journey towards becoming a professional and profitable artist!

Absolutely! In order to make this course as cost effective as possible, I decided to break it up into three “phases”. If, for example, marketing is what you need the most in your business right now, you can just purchase that phase. If you’d like to purchase the entire course, you can do so as a bundle (at a discounted price).
-
When you purchase either The Art Business Roadmap, you’ll have lifetime access to the material as well as any future updates. :)
-
Yes! I definitely plan to make updates to the course, and you’ll have access to all of them. I’d welcome any questions and feedback about topics that I may have missed (so always feel free to reach out). I’ll also make updates as I learn new things. For example, I’m in the middle of transitioning from a sole proprietorship to an S-Corp. As soon as I get that sorted out, I’ll be updating Phase 1! :)
-
Phase 1 and Phase 2 are more specifically geared towards artists, but Phase 3 (about email newsletters, social media, marketing, customer service, etc.) could be applicable to many small businesses.
-
Yes! There’s an option to pay for any phase of the Art Business Roadmap (as well as the bundle!) in 3 installments.
-
If you’re an artist, maker, or creative business owner who wants to turn your hobby into a career, this is the course for you. If you’re on the fence, please feel free to email me with where you’re currently at in your business and what you hope to get out of the course. I promise I’ll be honest with whether or not I think the course would be a good fit for your specific situation. :)
