so, what’s an embellished print?
Ever wish you could have an original painting, but in a different size or at a more accessible price point? That's exactly why I started offering embellished prints. :)
An embellished print starts with one of my canvas prints, and then I get to work with my brushes and palette knives, painting directly on top of the printed image. You’ll get the tactile feel and dimension of real paint, and the metallic gold and pearl paint colors that I often use in my originals will catch the light and make the artwork come alive in your space.
how does it work?
1. choose your artwork.
Browse the print shop, find a piece you love, and add it to the cart. Embellishment is available for single canvas prints, diptychs, and triptychs in a variety of sizes.
2. add embellishment to your order.
Select the corresponding embellishment add-on for your canvas print. The add-on is purchased separately from the print itself, so be sure to add both to your cart!
3. I'll add the finishing touches.
Once your canvas print is ready, I'll paint directly onto it, adding texture, dimension, and those little details that make my original paintings special. Your finished piece will be uniquely yours!
a few things to know
canvas only, please!
Embellishment is available for stretched canvas prints, but it isn't compatible with paper prints.
every piece is one of a kind.
Since I paint each embellished print by hand, the added brushwork and details will vary slightly from piece to piece.
a little extra time is needed.
Please allow approximately 2–4 weeks for printing and hand-painting. I'll email you with an estimated delivery or pickup timeframe.
already have one of my prints?
You can absolutely send a canvas print you've purchased from me in the past back for embellishment! Just get in touch, and we'll figure out the details.
is embellishment necessary?
I work with an insanely talented printer here in Bend, OR, and I’ll proudly claim that my prints are gorgeous on their own, without any embellishment. But while the prints perfectly match the original in terms of color, you’re just not going to get the texture and shimmer of an original painting with a print. My typical recommendation is that if a print is hanging up high, perhaps over a fireplace, you may not notice the difference. If a piece is at eye-level, the added texture is going to have a far greater impact.
