introducing…

for many artists, making the art is the easy part.

The selling part is what has the potential to hold us back from turning our talents and passions into a career. Over the past 12 years, I’ve slowly grown my side-gig into a thriving, multi-six-figure art business. And I’m passionate about teaching other artists how to do the same.

The Art Business Roadmap is a comprehensive course where I teach you, step-by-step and in order, all my secrets for taking your art from a hobby to a full-fledged business.

let’s bust that “starving artist” myth together. :)

  • A Roadmap of the 12 steps, in order, that I recommend taking to start and run your business successfully. We’ll cover it all: getting your business up and running, finding your ideal customer and your style as an artist, choosing what to offer, branding, pricing, websites, wholesale, email newsletters, social media, and more.

  • The Roadmap will be broken into 3 phases. That way, if you want to learn about marketing (for example), and don't need to know about setting up your website, you can opt into the teaching that's applicable to you. The separate “phases” will be more affordable, or you can purchase them all as a bundle for a discount.

  • Each of the 12 steps will have a video lesson, lots of supplemental written info and tidbits, and a comprehensive list of resources related to the topic. It’s designed to be your guide—something that you can refer back to time and time again as you move along your journey.

what you'll learn

what you'll learn •

phase 1: the building blocks

This first phase includes four lessons for the first four steps of the roadmap. Things like: getting your business up and running, taxes and bookkeeping, doing market research, finding your ideal customer and your style as an artist, choosing what to offer (originals, prints, products, etc.), and more.

phase 2: nuts & bolts

Phase 2 is meaty and focuses on things like branding, finding your voice, pricing, photography (and mockups!), websites, wholesale, and point-of-sale.

phase 3: the marketing stuff

Phase 3 is all about marketing! We’ll cover email newsletters, social media, customer service, word-of-mouth, providing value, and pop-ups and events to name a few.

I’d be so grateful if you helped me spread the word.

It’s pretty simple. If you’re interested in joining, I’ll send you a specific discount code to share with your audience. At the end of launch week, I’ll send you $5 for every person who signs up using your code. You don’t have to have a huge following. You don’t even have to be on social media! Just tell all your artist friends. :)

I’ll cover this in the course, but word-of-mouth is the most effective form of marketing. I’d so value your help in reaching the people who would benefit from The Art Business Roadmap.

I’m Lindsay Gilmore, and I’ve been making and sharing art professionally since 2014. Art was always my “thing” growing up, but I was too scared to study it in college. I fully bought into the “starving artist” myth and felt I had to choose something more practical. I double-majored in Marketing and Advertising instead, which, as it turns out, ended up being pretty darn helpful after-all.

After multiple marketing internships and four years working at a design agency (as an account manager, production designer, and graphic designer), I decided to start making art on the side. Believe it or not, I got my start painting people’s pets and babies in watercolor and ink.

After my first daughter was born in 2017, I got extremely burnt out and decided to pivot to the style I’m doing today: landscape paintings on canvas. Towards the end of 2020 I started offering art prints, and that’s when everything took off. Art soon became my full-time gig, and by 2021, my business hit the 6-figure mark for the first time. And I’m grateful to say that the business has only grown year-after-year.

I’ve learned a lot (and have made a ton of mistakes) over the past 12 years of business, and I’m excited to share it all with you. This is the course I wish I’d had when I was just starting out, and I’m confident that it will help you along your journey towards becoming a professional and profitable artist!

  • Absolutely! In order to make this course as cost effective as possible, I decided to break it up into three “phases”. If you’d like to purchase the entire course, you can do so as a bundle (at a discounted price).

  • When you purchase either The Art Business Roadmap, you’ll have lifetime access to the material as well as any future updates. :)

  • Due to the nature of online courses, I’m unable to offer refunds once you receive access to the material. But I do feel confident that the course material in the Art Business Roadmap will be incredibly valuable to you and your business. My goal from the beginning has been to create online education that’s as affordable and accessible as possible.
