so you have beautiful artwork,
but now what?
introducing…
For many of us artists, making the art is the easy part. The selling part is what has the potential to hold us back from turning our talents and passions into a career. Over the past 10 years, I’ve slowly grown my side-gig into a thriving, multi-six-figure art business. And I’m passionate about teaching other artists how to do the same.
The Art Business Roadmap is a comprehensive course where I teach you, step-by-step and in order, all my secrets for taking your art from a hobby to a full-fledged business. But wait, there’s more! (do I sound like a cheesy infomercial yet?)
Included alongside the course is a guide where I share all the resources you’ll need to help you along your journey. Things like: where I buy my supplies, what tools I use to build my website, even the photoshop templates I use to create my product listings. With the roadmap, associated video lessons, and resource guide, you’ll have everything you’ll need to succeed; curated and organized for you in one place.
So what are you waiting for? Let’s bust that “starving artist” myth together. :)

meet the teacher ✺
I’m Lindsay Gilmore, and I’ve been making and sharing art professionally since 2014. Art was always my “thing” growing up, but I was too scared to study it in college. I fully bought into the “starving artist” myth and felt I had to choose something more practical. I double-majored in Marketing and Advertising instead, which, as it turns out, ended up being pretty darn helpful after-all. :)
After multiple marketing internships and four years working at a design agency (as an account manager, production designer, and graphic designer), I decided to start making art on the side. Believe it or not, I got my start painting people’s pets and babies in watercolor and ink.
After my first daughter was born in 2017, I got extremely burnt out and decided to pivot to the style I’m doing today: landscape paintings on canvas. Towards the end of 2020 I started offering art prints, and that’s when everything took off. Art soon became my full-time gig, and by 2021, my business hit the 6-figure mark for the first time. And I’m grateful to say that the business has only grown year-after-year.
I’ve learned a lot (and have made a ton of mistakes) over the past 10+ years of business, and I’m excited to share it all with you. This is the course I wish I’d had when I was just starting out, and I’m confident that it will help you along your journey towards becoming a professional and profitable artist!

the course includes... ✺

✺
A roadmap of the 11 steps, in order, that I recommend taking to start and run your business successfully. I cover it all: getting your business license, figuring out pricing, designing your website, marketing, wholesale, social media strategies, and more.
-
✺
A detailed checklist that breaks down each of the 11 steps of the roadmap even further. Because I’m type-A like that. :) Print this out and use it alongside the video lessons to keep yourself organized and on track.
-
✺
11 concise video lessons (not here to waste anyone’s time with too much fluff!), where I walk you through each step of the roadmap and share advice and tips I’ve learned over the past 10+ years of running my business.
-
✺
Access to The Art Business Resource Guide, where I share links to all the resources to help you along your journey. Things like: books, podcasts, and other courses to learn from; tools for organization, shipping, websites, email marketing, and wholesale; links to where I purchase my art, packaging, and shipping supplies; and more!
what you'll learn
✺
what you'll learn ✺
phase 1: the building blocks
This first module includes four video lessons for the first four steps of the roadmap. The main focuses are on what to do before officially launching your business to the public. Things like: finding your style as an artist, deciding what products you’re going to offer, defining your brand, and organizing the business side of things.
phase 2: the meat & potatoes
Module 2 includes videos for the next three steps of the roadmap, with emphasis on product imagery, pricing, and building your website/selling platforms. This is the stage where you launch your business into the world, and I’ll walk you through all the steps. :)
phase 3: the marketing stuff
Module 3 focuses on the final four steps of the roadmap, which just so happen to be my expertise. I was a marketing major, after-all! :) Here you’ll find all my tips for selling and sharing your work with your audience, with a focus on email newsletters, social media, customer service, wholesale, and showing up in your community.
the resource guide
Included in the Art Business Roadmap course is a comprehensive list of all the resources that will help you along your journey. It’s organized by category, and alongside each link I’ve written a little blurb with my thoughts/how I use it.
If you’re not in a place where you can purchase the full course, you can purchase JUST this resource guide, separate from the full Art Business Roadmap course, at a lower price point.
The Resource Guide is an incredible companion to the full course, but it can absolutely stand alone. While there’s no roadmap or teaching in the stand-alone Resource Guide, it’s chock-full of helpful resources/info, and I’ve even interspersed some tips/business advice throughout.
If you choose to start with just the Resource Guide, it includes a $50 discount code to use if you’d ever like to upgrade to the full Art Business Roadmap course. :)
the resource guide categories include:
podcasts to listen to
book to read
courses to take
inspiring people to follow
organization tools
website platforms
shipping platforms

The Art Business Roadmap is a full online course that includes my recommended 11-step roadmap to starting and running your business, 11 associated video lessons, and access to the Resource Guide.
You may purchase JUST the Resource Guide (separate from the full Art Business Roadmap course) at a lower price point. The Resource Guide will not have access to the teaching components/video lessons of the full course, but I still think it would be an immensely helpful resource on it’s own.
As the Art Business Roadmap course includes access to the Resource Guide, you do NOT need to purchase both.
If you decide to test the waters by purchasing the Resource Guide, there is a $50 off discount code that you may use on the full course if you decide to upgrade down the road. :)
-
When you purchase either The Art Business Roadmap or Resource Guide, you’ll have lifetime access to the material as well as any future updates. :)
-
Due to the nature of online courses, I’m unable to offer refunds once you receive access to the material. But I do feel confident that the course material in both the Art Business Roadmap and Resource Guide will be incredibly valuable to you and your business. My goal from the beginning has been to create online education that’s as affordable and accessible as possible.
-
Yes! There’s an option to pay for the Art Business Roadmap in 2 installments.

If you’re an artist, maker, or creative business owner who wants to turn your hobby into a career, this is the course for you. If you’re on the fence, please feel free to email me with where you’re currently at in your business and what you hope to get out of the course. I promise I’ll be honest with whether or not I think the course would be a good fit for your specific situation. :)

don’t have the $ to invest in the full course right now? ✺
Trust me, I get it. When I was starting out, I didn’t either. Especially when I wasn’t even sure if my business would ever get off the ground. I want to have an option available for everyone, whatever your budget and business needs may be, so I’m happy to share that I’ve decided to sell just the resource guide at a more approachable print point.
just to be clear…
The full course, The Art Business Roadmap, includes access to the The Art Business Resource Guide. Don’t buy both! But if you want to dip your toes in the water with just the resource guide, you can purchase The Art Business Resource Guide separately. Got it?
